First of all Happy New Year to all.
Now, the issue is, I simply cannot select a train in free roam (just installed Railworks but I'm already familiar with it). I read a thread of a guy with the same issue but couldn't find a solution. Maybe this is something painstakingly obvious but apparently all you have to do is click on a train and you become the driver. I can't click, though. When I load any free roam scenario, I am put into a location from which I cannot move, I have no menu and no buttons (don't know if this is normal). Sometimes there are visible trains, other times there aren't. No matter how much I click on a train, it doesn't do anything, and I am stuck with no buttons and the game refuses to do anything. I have clicked every button on the keyboard - the only thing that works is '9' which opens the map. The map works fine and the switches change completely fine. All other scenarios work fine
What am I doing wrong?

- They already have this mode in Train Sim World. When you go into services, you just choose your TSW character, then choose weather conditions and then a starting station. Only problem is, you need to find a time when there are actual trains at the station for you to take control of. Last edited: Mar 25, 2018.
- Free Roam Scenarios These enable you to familiarise yourself with a route using a locomotive. There are normally no other present. When you trains run these scenarios you are not assigned a locomotive, so to begin you must select one to drive by clicking on it. 3.3 Controlling your Train.
- All I do in TS2017 is free roam and I thought this would be the same, but no. All this having to get out and switch points is soul destroying. And some points you can't even alter. Are they going to alter that? And give us a map we can just switch points from. I want to drive trains, not walk about. I bought but only played it for 40 mins.
- The railway stations are nice and amused designed with walking people at platforms, boarding and disembarking the train on your command. Passengers at train station. When not in the Free Roaming mode, you are bound to tight schedules, delays, speed limits and so on. You get penalty-points for each breach.
